Sierra Leone: Improving Overall Good Health and Well-Being
This paper demonstrates the healthcare challenges faced by Sierra Leone, focusing on the country’s struggle with quality education, environmental factors, and political barriers that overall, impact health outcomes. Throughout this essay I was able to better understand how factors affect healthcare systems in low income countries. This paper helped me dive into my critical thinking and problem solving skills as I was to create potential solutions to help the health issues ofSierra Leone as well. Lastly, the paper correlates with my career goals in international health as I am able to analyze health issues in a region and then suggest improvements for healthcare systems.
Un Análisis Crítico del Sistema de Salud Colombiano y su Evolución: Una revisión de la literatura
This literature review helped increase my understanding of health system structures, particularly Colombia’s mixed public private model and the country’s historical reforms as well. I was able to use my research, data analysis, andwriting skills throughout this literature review especially when analyzing policy impacts on healthcare access and quality. The knowledge I obtained from this writing piece can be applied to future work involving public health as I am able to assess and compare health systems in a critical manner. Lastly, this artifact connects with my career interest in global health systems and reform as I have agrasp on evaluating health policies and analyzing the implications they may have as well.
